Scenario
Two girls go missing
Police recruit Paul Chartier joins an undercover unit tracking down a sex offender. When the operation fails, Chartier independently pursues the perpetrators, disillusioned with legal restrictions. I know it should be called “if you can”;… and I think that would work too… but I decided to go in this direction… it’s not meant to be yet. The movie is based on a true story, and I have no idea what happened in the 90s… and from what I understand, a lot of creative license is needed… with who did what to whom… who survived and who didn’t… and I guess the main character (police/gendarmerie) is a fusion of many characters into one – of course, I could be wrong, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case.
I would say no
, the movie may be long (2.5 hours), but it never seems that way. Well, maybe during the wedding stuff at the beginning… Been there, done that, and knew. Greeks believe the same – like Italians… is it necessary for the story? but maybe I’m missing something.
so many things go wrong
The suspense part is very well done… you feel with the main character… he has the right eye, he has the right “nose”… …
so many praises he received
but will he be able to convince the others? Many departments work almost against each other… this is well said and done… the x factor is still missing to reach the top…
more tension throughout
and as good as he is… missing the final Push… maybe a little more charisma… and so on.
