Embroiled in a mysterious relationship with her deceased Army best friend, an Afghanistan veteran finds herself confronted by her Vietnam veteran grandfather at the family’s ancestral lake home.
Nate Busko has spent 12 of his 17 years running from his past
Fed up with being bounced from foster home to foster home, he now lives in his car, eats corn husks and uses track practice as a chance to shower.
Alone, he’s haunted by fragments of traumatic memories from his past
By nightfall, he couldn’t be more different from the confident, resourceful persona at school.
Enter Stan Deen, a popular high school drama teacher dealing with his own problems
He sees Nate’s hidden talent and need for care and guidance where no other teacher will, and sets out to help.
But in a surprising turn of events, Nate is arrested in the middle of school and marched away in handcuffs
Stan follows Nate to the police station and not only arranges bail, but agrees to take Nate into his own home, despite raised eyebrows from his fellow teachers.
Stan is willing to do whatever it takes to help his troubled student
But the question is, can you really help someone if you are not willing to help yourself?
The film was originally scheduled for an August 16, 2024 release
Scenario
The continuation of one story of the settlement of the American west. It follows the further adventures of characters first featured in Horizon: An American Saga.. However after the commercial failure of Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1 (2024), New Line Cinema removed its sequel from its original release date, delaying it indefinitely.
I loved this from start to finish
Chapter 2 premiered at the 81st Venice International Film Festival on September 7, 2024, with an uncertain theatrical release.. Follows Horizont: Američka saga – Prvo chuptu (2024). I can’t believe the bad reviews and ratings.
The three hours flew by and I’m now really wanting to see episode 2 asap
I am a big fan of westerns and this is quality from start to finish. The thing to remember is it’s part of a longer story, part 1 is all about introducing main characters. I really hope all the episodes get made and released as I believe that people will see the whole piece as a masterpiece.
But loved it
Great cinematography, great acting, brutal scenes that I’m sure are realistic. I have this a 9 out of 10 only because at times the story doesn’t quite flow as well as it could do. From Alien: Romulus to Road House, take a look back at some of our favorite posters of 2024.
Charles, a retired man, gets a new lease on life when he answers a private investigator’s ad and becomes the mole in an undercover investigation of a nursing home. A remake of the film El agente topo (2020). Ted Danson, about 76, plays Charles, about 76, a retired engineering professor living in San Francisco. He is also the producer of this series, which stands out from most by avoiding the all-too-common foul language.
This is actually very clean and pleasant
In the story, his wife had died perhaps a year ago from the effects of Alzheimer’s. He is healthy, but perhaps bored with his daily routine. He has a habit of reading magazines and newspapers, and he often cuts out an interesting publication to send to his married daughter in Sacramento. One day, through the cut-out hole, he sees a small, short ad.
wants the thief caught
They are looking for a person between the ages of 75 and 85 for a specific job. This leads him to a private investigator hired by a man whose mother is in some kind of posh retirement home in San Francisco. Significant jewelry was stolen and the boy was kidnapped. Charles is the key.
My wife and I enjoyed it on streaming
So he is hired to check in and observe and report as the person who will uncover what is going on. Ted Danson is perfect in this role, where he delivers a lot of humor. It quickly becomes less about who the thief was and more about relationships. The characters are played by a great cast, many of whom are old favorites that we have come to know over the past 50 years or so.
One of the most enjoyable we have ever watched
After watching the first three episodes in one night, we watched the last five episodes in one sitting after our usual Saturday night steak and wine dinner. The rest is set up for a sequel, hopefully they will pull it off.
This is the second animated movie based on The Witcher, Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski’s fantasy book series which inspired a blockbuster video game franchise and the Netflix series.
Divers searching for sunken treasures witness the killing of drug dealers by modern pirates, but the killer, the great white, is determined not to let any of them escape its waters. The tagline is a direct copy of Alien (1979) on duty.
2022 marks the centenary of the release of Alfred Hitchcock’s first feature film. A century later, Hitchcock remains one of the most influential filmmakers in the history of cinema. But how does his work and legacy endure in today’s society? Mark Cousins, the award-winning filmmaker behind The Story of Film: An Odyssey, The Eyes of the…
An adaptation of James Patterson’s series of novels about the complex and brilliant detective Alex Cross
Hodge is the third actor to play Cross, following in the footsteps of Morgan Freeman, who first played him on screen in 1997’s Kiss the Girls and again in the 2001 sequel Along Came a Spider; and Tyler Perry as the title character in 2012’s Alex Cross, which flopped at the box office and led Lionsgate to cancel a previously planned sequel, Double Cross.
But the series rises and falls with its long eight-episode runtime, which doesn’t justify its length
Aldis Hodge is electrifying as the titular police officer in “Alex Cross,” based on James Patterson’s bestselling book series.
If creator Ben Watkins had kept the script tighter and focused on the investigative elements rather than the personal struggles of the main character, this could have been a groundbreaking series
Ryan Eggold, Samantha Walkes, and Isaiah Mustafa shine in supporting roles, but it’s Eloise Mumford and Karen Robinsen who catch the eye, and even manage to grab attention after Aldis Hodge’s impressive lead performance.
It’s watchable, but don’t expect a “Reacher” or “Sugar”
